We are attempting to join two schools of thought into a cohesive expression: the somatic and the subtle energetic.

In our exploration of spiritual practice, the two must become one. There is a tendency for an overemphasis of spirit to bypass bodily wisdom and an overemphasis of body to tighten and manipulate spirit.
Both lead to dis-ease and dysfunction and, if not harmonized, can create unchecked, externally-grasping "power" without true self-possession.
A Mystery School for Seekers & Practitioners Alike
"In wishing to know ourselves fully, we must forget our quest for gain and seek only completion. At a certain point in our development, we no longer even seek to become Mystic, Magister, Sorcerer, or Witch: we seek only our own perfection in the wholeness of our Will, in the joining of light with dark and strength with love. We are varied and gorgeous yet pure of heart. Our aim is this: to know ourselves and to know the world."
- T. Thorn Coyle, Kissing the Limitless
We believe that enlightenment does not come through transcendence and that there is a desperate need to be embodied to regulate the degree of stimulation we are processing daily in our modern age.

There is a need for us to feel safe, grounded, and fully present in our world and there is no way to bypass the body in our spiritual work.
"We are part animal, part human, and part divine, and the moment we forget the possibility of any one of those, we are lost."
The Somatic Groundwork
"Know Thyself" is more than a clever phrase to toss out to sound philosophically literate. The clearer your understand your desires, your motivations, and your overarching habituations, the sooner you are able to become clear in your expressed will and enact change on the world around you.

When you are in true alignment with your desires, seeing them clearly, expressing them cleanly, you become more at peace in your world.
"When we listen, first we listen to the parts of ourselves that are curious, in avoidance, afraid, angry, or proud. Then we can take a breath and sink, allowing those parts some space alongside the spaciousness of not knowing."
The Clarity of Self-Reflection
Will is a magical concept spoken of often, but perhaps difficult to understand when we are first beginning to live a life of self-possession and conscious participation.

This is the final area of exploration in our School and an important basis of understanding how to move forth in our world.
